Umbrella Schools for Florida Homeschoolers

Directory of Umbrella Schools

Homeschooling through a private school provides support and services that many homeschool families find attractive. Services can range from report cards, transcripts and diplomas to curriculum advice and guidance. In Florida, schools that enroll homeschooling families are usually called Umbrella (or cover) schools. The Umbrella schools listed below all offer a homeschool option. Click each school’s name to visit its web site. Does it sound like a good fit? If so, contact the school to determine if its philosophy and requirements are the right choice for your homeschooling family.

A word about DOE School Numbers: Schools that are licensed in Florida will have a DOE school number. You can verify that any school’s state registration is current by visiting the Florida School Choice Private School Directory. From there, select the district (same as County) where the school is located and click to search. Schools are listed alphabetically within the search. The lower the DOE school number, the longer the school has been in operation.
